There’s not much sense in having a blog if nobody is going to read it, so I posted a link on my friend’s Wall. She said she read but her friend, who I’ve met once but don’t really know also read it and said she “can tell he’s really intelligent but he comes off a bit pretentious/obnoxious.”
On the one hand, wow thanks I think that’s actually a nice compliment to be told I’m really intelligent, but the pretentious/obnoxious bit kind of cancels that compliment out. But, 1) I can be sort of pretentious/obnoxious (though certainly not as much as some people I know…) and 2) a blog involves a belief that people care what you can to say, which is in and of itself a sort of pretentious/obnoxious belief.
I’m reading them. They are good. Thought the water district comments were funny. Good job!!
I like how you admit you can be pretentious/obnoxious. Besides that, I see you put a lot of effort into your blog. The posts are creative and well-written.
