Country music.
Generally, everyone’s first reaction to the reference of country music is not a good one.
I do not understand where everyone got the misconception that country music isn’t good. No, not every song is about how a guy loses his dog, breaks up with his girlfriend, and ends up a drunk. Yes, at one point or another this may have been true. But this does not speak for all of country music.
Yes, songs in modern country are centered around the same set of concepts, but generally all music is. Country music just happens to have a different set of those concepts. And in my opinion, they’re a lot better of concepts than you would find in ‘Lil Wayne’s music.
In country music you’ll find a lot about small towns, tractors, and pride in America. I can understand its hard to relate to concepts like that. But you’ll also find a lot about love, life, and loss; which every person can relate to in one way or another.
I think you’ll find this song is country music in a nutshell.
