About Me

Hello! My name is Kylie West, and I am attending the CSPA Workshop 2011. I am a senior and the Editor in Chief for my high school’s newspaper, and I hope to improve my writing through this workshop; I am learning much more about journalism and public communication.

I have a passion for traveling around the world and learning about other cultures. I have been to Indonesia twice and went to Ecuador last summer. I am “addicted” to adventure and hope to take a road trip across the country sometime in the next few years! Another interest of mine is film, and I want to one day produce a documentary and possibly write screenplays. I also love being outdoors, playing guitar, and reading. I especially enjoy philosophical works; Thoreau and Emerson are my heroes. And of course, my favorite book is the Bible.

More than anything, I am passionate about meeting new people and hearing about their lives and perspectives.
