Mamma Mia!

Mia's so cool.

Mia Colvin, at 5’9,’’ is German, Italian, Japanese and Korean. That exotic mix of ethnicities in this 17-year-old woman has probably contributed to her outgoing burst of character.

The first time I met Colvin on the first day at CSPA, I had initially thought her to be shy—much like everyone else. However, she overcame those assumptions by stepping out and being one of the first person to crack a joke among the girls of the group. And everything else followed after.

“I was first friends with my roommate Kieffer [Cropper] and it wasn’t hard to be friends with her,” Colvin said. “We party it up every night. I just make friends really easily with people.”

As a talkative person, Colvin credits her outgoing character to her ability to adapt well in a social surrounding. From my memory of the first day at the CSPA Workshop, for example, Colvin and her roommate had shared their first burst of laughter in class.

“But you know, the people at CSPA are also really cool, so because everyone was willing to allow me to be their friend, it was just that much more easier to become friends with basically everyone,” Colvin said.
