Yep. Another Stan photo! This cool guy is in the CSPA wall of fame, along with Jay, Gil, Steve, Art and Larry.
One doesn’t normally expect a reunion to be inspiring. However, meeting CSPA members from both the past and the present at the 60th Anniversary Reunion was enough to inspire me to continue on with journalism. But more than inciting passion in me and my peers, listening to the older members speak has made me realize the enormous amount of gratitude I have for those responsible for making CSPA continue on with its brilliant legacy: the instructors, counselors and anyone else behind the scene.
Instructors: Having been able to meet all of you was “very cool.” Each one of you brought your own sense of style in your teachings and I just can’t quite express how much I appreciate all of your individual contributions. Your wisdom is something I wish I can achieve when I become just as old as you all are. You guys are definitely the soul of this entire workshop.
Counselors:To Matt, Saba, Nicole and James…as much as it might not seem like it, I respect you guys so…SO much.
Matt, as head counselor, I think you do your job adequately well. Your facetious attitude makes you super hilarious and the amount of green you wear makes me laugh, too. (Actually, I think you’re a horrible person.)
Nicole, you are the zest in the time I have spent here at CSPA. Your confident air really makes you a natural leader and I love how you can speak your mind so easily. I think I’ve said this before, but your laugh is very contagious!
James. I like how you have a widow’s peak like Rich. You first came off as really intimidating with your gangster demeanor, but I think I’ve come to enjoy that pissed off look you naturally hold. But in all seriousness, you are actually a really nice person!
Saba, you are very easy to make friends with. I really appreciate our genuine conversations. You’re a great mother figure and so I feel so much at home when I stand, sit or squat next to you.
Anyone else behind the scene: I remember dealing with financial difficulties before applying for CSPA. Even though I was interested in the program, I just couldn’t afford the tuition money to come here. However, after contacting Steve Harvey about my situation, I remember not having to worry about the money at all after that point! For whoever was responsible for making my attendance possible, thank you so much!

Thanks Maria! We love you too
