Saving the world, Tyler Pager. Tyler Pager is saving the world.
Sixteen-year old Tyler Pager traveled to Burma, Thailand, and Singapore this summer with Rustic Pathway’s Golden Triangle Adventure program.
The program is designed for teens that are interested in community service in international settings.
When asked why he wanted to go on the trip with a group of teens he doesn’t know, Tyler said that people in those countries need his help.
“I want to help people and visit countries that most Americans cannot visit,” he said.
After stopping in China to work at a panda conservation zoo, Tyler travelled to Burma, where he delivered medical supplies, books, food, and genuine company to people in remote villages.
“I taught them English,” said Tyler of his experiences with the villagers in Burma.
He then made his way to Thailand, where the Golden Triangle is. The Golden Triangle is an ancient trading point of Laos, Burma, and Thailand.
On his 50-hour trip back to America, Tyler had a 12-hour layover in Singapore, where he went sightseeing.
“I have a Singapore passport stamp,” he said. “I’m very proud of it.”
