Wrapping Up

For my last blog post, I just want to say how much I appreciated every second of the 2011 CSPA Workshop. Everybody that I met here is amazing in their own unique way.

Katie Richcreek: Katie, also known as KT or Cupcakeeee, is seriously my half-White, half-Tongan twin. I don’t have that much to say, because she probably already knows I love her to death.  We connect on so many different levels, and I can just look at her and know what she’s thinking. Our habits and personality are the same, and the way we “interact” with people is ridiculously similar. I never thought I would meet someone as pessimistic and negative as me, and in this case, opposites don’t attract.

Rachel Du Mont: On the first day of the workshop, Rachel sat next to me in the classroom. Rachiepoo, or Poopster, looks like the typical Orange County girl, and I am so happy I met her because she definitely broke the stereotype of a “SoCal girl.” Over the past two weeks, I loved having laughing attacks, taking silly bean pictures, and talking about EVERYTHING with her.

Alyssa Spear: When I first met Alyss lyss, or Porcupine, I wasn’t sure if I would get along with her. But after the first few days, Piney proved to be one of the most interesting (and clumsy) people I’ve ever met. I loved how we could make fun of each other no matter what the situation was.

Lindsey Agnew: Last but definitely not least, Lindsey, my amazing, outstanding roommate! She is hilarious. Every night after discussion, we would chat about the randomest topics, including our freak-like fears and pet peeves. I learned that I’m not the only weird one! When I got sick, she was so nice and helpful, and I wouldn’t have been able to be happy without her there. She is a genuinely kind person, and really does care about others around her.

All in all, I met a lot of outstanding people at the workshop. I wish I had the time to write about all the students, instructors, and counselors, because each and every one of them changed me in a positive way.

So, thank you, CSPA. Thank you for the experience, for the friends, and for the fun.
