As New York bakes in the hot sun reaching three digit temperatures, this native New Yorker has been wearing long sleeves shirts in the central coast. The past few weeks have been an oven for East Coast, I have been enjoying more normal summer temperatures. I have even heard of warnings to try and stay inside in New York due to the ridiculous weather.
In contrast, I enjoyed a day of football, soccer, and volleyball as I basked in the sun at the CSPA 60th Anniversary at Cuesta Park. A little off topic but I cant resist. Today was a truly inspiring day as I had the chance to talk to CSPA alumni and how much impact this program has had on them and how many of them said everything good that has happened in their lives has a relationship back to CSPA. Today I feel very proud to be a part of the CSPA family.
Back to the weather, I find it amusing that the East Coast is burning in heat while the West Coast is enjoying a pretty cool/warm summer. I always thought it was the other way around. It guess the hot weather just moves coasts depending where I am but really its pretty weird.
Even though the weather is cold in the mornings and the evenings, I prefer the current West Coast weather way more than the current East Coast weather. If is was the other way around, I wouldn’t be able to play basketball and volleyball with Steve “Spike” Harvey or play soccer or just enjoy outside and Cal Poly’s campus. Therefore, I would like to thank Mother Nature for giving the West Coast the better end of the deal right now. However, I would also like to ask Mother Nature to change this weather as soon as I get back to the East Coast.
