As this is the last blog post from the CSPA Workshop, I wanted to reflect on everything that I have learned while on the West Coast.
One thing that I think is really cool is that I now know anywhere I go in California I will know someone. Whether I’m in Northern California, Central California, or Southern California; there are people from the CSP Workshop that I can always visit. I am really excited for my next trip to California and to be able to visit my 23 new friends that live all over the state.
Besides all of the people, I have learned about California style, sport teams, politics, and overall feel much more informed about California.
I also wanted to reflect on the workshop. This has been the best two weeks of my life. Every single moment was amazing. I have learned so much for everyone: students, counselors, and of course instructors. I have improved in all aspects of journalism and feel so much more comfortable in my journalistic skills and know the skills I learned at the workshop will be extremely helpful for the rest of my career.
I am excited to use the skills I have learned here back at my newspaper and throughout my life. This workshop is a life-changing experience and I hope to come back as a counselor and instructor in the future.
I would also like to thank everyone that made this workshop what it was.
So for the last time, the New Yorker is leaving the state and is bringing back the East Coast Perspective.
Hopefully the next time I post on this blog it is under the counselor section!
